# What are the different user roles available in Datarock Core?

## This guide provides an overview of the two available user roles in Datarock Core: Manager and User.

### User Roles

#### Manager

The Manager is typically the initial user added by the Datarock Customer Support team. They have the ability to add other team members to the project and can also handle drill core processing as part of their daily tasks.

#### User

A User role is essential for team members responsible for processing data within Datarock Core.

#### Permissions
