How do I manage users in Datarock Platform?
Our User Management interface has changed. In this article we'll go through common User Management operations, such as how to add, remove or change a user's role in Datarock Core.
To perform any of the following User Management actions, you will need to have a Manager role within your Datarock Project. To learn more about each user role click here.
How to Add a User
1. If you want to add a User, go to your Datarock Project.
2. Click the cogwheel icon next to the Project Name to open the project’s Settings.
3. Within Settings, navigate to the User Management tab.
4. Click New User.
5. A window will pop up prompting you to enter your email, name, and role. Once completed, click Save.

6. Done! The user you added will receive an invitation to the platform, and will appear with their Status marked as 'invited'. Share this guide with them to help with their first login.
User invites are valid for 14 days. If the user doesn't log in within that period, change the password, and set up a QR code, the user will need to be re-sent an invite (see below)
How to Re-send a User's invite
1. If a user hasn’t logged in within 14 days of being added to the platform, their temporary password will expire. To re-send their invite, simply navigate to the User Management tab.
2. Locate the user you need to re-send the invite to.
3. Click the three vertical dots under the Action column to display the options.
4.Click on Resend invite.
5. Done! Invite has been resent, and you should see a confirmation notification in the bottom-right corner.
How to Change a User's Role
1. After adding your user, simply navigate to the User Management tab.
2. Click the Role dropdown next to the user's name to view the available options: User or Manager.
3. Done! The role has been updated, and you should see a confirmation notification in the bottom-right corner.

How to Remove a User
1. To remove a user, simply navigate to the User Management tab.
2. Locate the user you need to remove.
3. Click the three vertical dots under the Action column to display the options.
4.Click on Remove from Project.
5. Done! The user should no longer appear in the list, and a confirmation notification will be visible in the bottom-right corner.
